Chandigarh, October 21
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav on Monday said that the Moga Police arrested three associates of Manpreet Singh, also known as Mani Bhinder, who is linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. Besides it, an associate of the foreign-based Lucky Patiyal, connected to the Bambiha Gang, was also held. In total, police seized six illegal weapons during the operation. The arrests were made while the accused were allegedly planning to target businessmen in Moga for extortion. Two FIRs have been registered, and an investigation is underway to establish both backward and forward linkages. DGP Yadav said that the police had successfully averted a potential sensational crime in the region.
