‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ crosses USD 2 billion at global box office

The Marvel film has earned over USD 2 billion worldwide and has emerged as one of the highest-grossing Hollywood releases in India, receiving widespread praise from Indian audiences.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, has crossed the USD 2 billion mark at the global box office. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film was released on July 31. Holland reprises his role as Spider-Man, while Zendaya plays Michelle Jones-Watson. Jacob Batalon portrays Ned Leeds, with Krondon as Tombstone and Sadie Sink as Jean Grey.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film has earned USD 2 billion worldwide. In India, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has collected more than Rs 500 crore, emerging as the highest-grossing Hollywood film, surpassing Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and Obsession, which earned over Rs 100 crore each. The film has also received widespread praise from the Indian audiences, adding to its strong box-office performance in the country.
