The Second Triennial General Body Meeting and Conference of the State Bank of India Other Backward Classes Employees’ Welfare Association, Chandigarh Circle, will be held on July 11 at Tagore Theatre in Sector 18, Chandigarh. The conference will bring together OBC employee representatives from the State Bank of India and various public sector undertakings and institutions from across the country. Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on OBC Welfare Ganesh Singh will attend the event as the Chief Guest. Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament K. Laxman and State Bank of India Chief General Manager of the Local Head Office, Chandigarh, Amaresh Kumar Jha, will be the Guests of Honour.
Association President Ashish Kumar and General Secretary Mukesh Kumar Saini said the programme will begin at 9.45 am with the hoisting of the association flag. The conference will feature cultural performances, ceremonial lamp lighting, tributes to social reformers, addresses by distinguished guests and the felicitation of outstanding employees.
The post-lunch business session of the General Body Meeting will focus on employee welfare, organisational activities and the future roadmap of the association. The organisers said the deliberations are expected to strengthen employee welfare initiatives, promote social harmony and strengthen organisational unity among OBC employees from different parts of the country.
The conference is expected to provide a platform for discussions on employee welfare and organisational priorities while bringing together representatives from the banking sector and other public sector institutions under one forum.
