Dharamshala, May 11
Fans from Punjab turned the Dharamshala stadium into a vibrant sea of enthusiasm during the IPL match between Punjab and Delhi, cheering loudly and chanting “Punjabi aa gaye oye” as they entered the venue.
A large section of the spectators at the match had travelled from different parts of Punjab to support Punjab Kings. The fans said they had come with full excitement to back their team and hoped for a strong performance in the ongoing IPL season.
Speaking to the media, Kamaljit from Nangal said they are proud Punjabis and have come to support the Punjab Kings. He expressed confidence that the team will win the IPL title this year.
Bonny from Batala, who attended the match with friends, said Punjab has performed well this season and is expected to reach the final and lift the trophy.
Harman from Gurdaspur also voiced optimism, saying that although the team faced a few setbacks after a strong start, it will bounce back in the remaining matches and secure a place in the final.
Rajinder from Khanna, attending an IPL match at the stadium for the first time, said the team is capable of a strong comeback and added that he is here to support the Punjab Kings and hopes they win.
Apart from the match excitement, fans also praised the pleasant weather in Dharamshala, saying it enhanced the overall experience and made the game more enjoyable.
