Patiala, May 11
Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, MLA from the Sanour Assembly constituency, was produced before a district court in Patiala on Monday, where the police sought his judicial remand in an ongoing case.
The court accepted the police plea and remanded the legislator to 11 days of judicial custody. Following the court proceedings, he is expected to be shifted to the Central Jail in Patiala.
Speaking to the media, advocate Simranjit Singh Saggu said that Pathanmajra would remain in judicial custody until his next appearance before the court on May 22.
Meanwhile, all other accused named in the case have reportedly secured anticipatory bail. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
