Khattar to attend ceremony focused on youth, sports and drug awareness
Panchkula: The closing ceremony of the Namo Cricket League will be held at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3, Panchkula, on Sunday, with Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar attending as the chief guest.
The ceremony is expected to focus on encouraging youngsters to take up sports and stay away from drugs.
The event comes amid heightened focus on drug abuse prevention in the region. During his recent visit to Jalandhar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted the Centre’s priority of tackling drug abuse in Punjab and referred to the target linked to December 31, 2029.
Khattar’s address at the ceremony is expected to focus on youth engagement, sports and the fight against drug abuse.
There has been no official confirmation of any new initiative or announcement by the Haryana Government in this regard so far.
