BJP Himachal Pradesh spokesperson Sanjay Sharma on Monday welcomed the Central Government’s decision to release an advance installment of Rs 193.95 crore to Himachal Pradesh under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the timely assistance.
Sharma said the early release of the second central installment for the financial year 2026-27 reflects the Center’s commitment to supporting Himachal Pradesh amid the ongoing monsoon disaster. He said the financial assistance would help strengthen relief and rescue operations and provide much-needed support to the state in tackling the crisis.
He said the funds would play a significant role in the rehabilitation of disaster-affected families and the restoration of damaged infrastructure across the state.
The BJP leader also urged the Himachal Pradesh government to ensure that the financial assistance received from the Center is utilized with complete transparency and fairness. He said the funds should be distributed without any political discrimination so that relief reaches all affected people promptly and rehabilitation work is carried out without delay.
