Live music and spectator prizes add to cricketing action at Tau Devi Lal Stadium

Panchkula: The ongoing Namo Cricket League at Tau Devi Lal Stadium is drawing spectators with a mix of cricket, live music and audience engagement activities, with Punjabi singer Mankirt Aulakh’s performance and special prizes adding to the excitement.

Aulakh performed at the stadium on Thursday, entertaining the audience with tracks including “8 Parche”, “Jail”, “Badnaam” and “Brotherhood”. His performance drew cheers and applause, with several youngsters dancing and singing along.

The league has also introduced special rewards for spectators. Organiser Tarun Bhandari said 20 professional cricket bats and T-shirts would be given away as prizes during the tournament.

In a special initiative, a spectator who catches a ball hit beyond the boundary during a match would receive a cash prize of ₹2,100, Bhandari said.

The organisers said the activities were aimed at increasing audience participation and adding to the overall experience at the stadium. The league has previously featured devotional singer Hemant Brijwasi and other artists.

Entertainment programmes are scheduled to continue during the final phase of the league, with Haryanvi singer Masoom Sharma set to perform on Friday and B Praak’s performance proposed for Sunday, i.e., October 4.
