Punjabi actress Love Gill congratulated The North News on completing two successful years and wished the channel continued growth and success in an exclusive interview.

Reflecting on her journey, Gill said she had been certain about becoming an actress since her school days and continues to work on refining her skills. She credited her mother as her biggest inspiration and described her as a strong source of motivation.

Speaking about life beyond glamour, Gill kept it simple—“entertainment”—and said there is never a shortage of it in her life. She recalled her debut film Kuriyan Jawan Baapu Preshaan as her most memorable project, describing it as a breakthrough when her dream of becoming an actress began turning into reality.

On her dream role, Gill said she wants to portray characters with diverse shades, similar to those essayed by Vidya Balan. She also said she remains grounded and is open to taking on different roles that challenge her as an artist.

Addressing social media criticism and praise, Gill said every individual has the right to express an opinion. She welcomes both appreciation and criticism, believing that an artist’s performance will naturally be judged and feedback can help bring improvement.

Gill also spoke about her upcoming appearance on Bigg Boss 20, saying she accepted the opportunity after discussing it with her team. She believes the reality show can provide a valuable platform, wider visibility and growth opportunities. Her larger ambition, she said, is to become a globally recognized and versatile Punjabi actress and contribute more significantly to the Punjabi entertainment industry.

On the controversial nature of Bigg Boss, Gill said the show offers contestants a reality check and requires them to remain authentic. She acknowledged that viewers may have different opinions, but for her, staying real is what matters. Looking ahead, Gill revealed that a new Punjabi film and a Hindi web series are also in the pipeline, promising more work for her audience in the coming months.
