Himachal govt transfers 54 HPPS officers in major police reshuffle

The Himachal Pradesh government has transferred 54 Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPPS) officers as part of a major administrative reshuffle, assigning new postings to several Additional SP- and DSP-rank officers across the state.

The transfer and posting orders were issued by the Home Department on Monday and are effective from August 10, according to the notification.

Dr Shiv Kumar has been shifted from Chief Minister’s Security and appointed SP, Security and Intelligence, Shimla.

Bhupinder Singh Negi has been posted as Commandant, First Himachal Pradesh Armed Police Battalion, Junga, while Manmohan Singh has been appointed Additional SP, Kullu.

Shiv Ram Chaudhary has been posted as Additional SP, 4th IRB Jangalberi in Hamirpur, while Praveen Dhiman has been given charge as Additional SP, CID Mandi. Narendra Kumar has been appointed Additional SP, Sirmaur (Nahan).

At the district level, Ajay Kumar-I has been posted as Additional SP, Una, and Sanjeev Kumar-I as Additional SP, Kangra (Dharamshala). Ramesh Kumar Sharma has been posted as Additional SP, Solan, while Yogesh Rolta has been appointed Additional SP, Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Shimla.

Sanjeev Kumar-II has been posted as Additional SP, SV&ACB, Chamba, and Bir Bahadur as Additional SP at the Cyber Crime Police Station, Mandi.

Among the DSP-level postings, Tajinder Kumar Verma has been appointed SDPO, Jawali, while Sanjay Sharma has been posted as SDPO, Jawalamukhi, with additional charge of Dehra.

Sher Singh has been appointed SDPO, Dadasiba; Varun Patial, SDPO, Bhabanagar; and Mangat Ram, SDPO, Sangrah.

Gauri Dutt has been posted as SDPO, Theog, while Vikrant Bonsara has been appointed SDPO, Manali. Rajesh Kumar has been posted as SDPO, Kangra, and Harish Kumar-I as SDPO, Barsar.

The orders were signed by Chief Secretary Kamlesh Kumar Pant and Special Secretary (Home) Manoj Kumar Chauhan.
