Himachal Class 12 results declared, pass percentage rises to 92.02 pc

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala, on Monday declared the Class 12 results for all three streams, recording an overall pass percentage of 92.02 percent, a rise of five percent compared to last year. A total of 81,417 students appeared for the examination, out of which 74,637 passed, while 3,071 were placed in the compartment category. Results have been made available on the official website.

In the Science stream, Shaila Kashyap from Shahpur Chhatri in Kangra secured the top position with 99 percent marks. Sachita Dhiman from Gurukul School, Amb in Una, and Kashi Sharma jointly secured second place with 98.6 percent. Tamanna Sharma from Solan, Nitin Kumar, and Vaishali Thakur from Kangra secured third place with 98.4 percent.

In the Arts stream, Anshit Kumar from Bhawarna in Kangra topped with 99.2 percent, followed by Aarushi Thakur from Sirmaur with 99 percent. Shamya Barjatya from Model School, Dari in Kangra secured third position with 98.8 percent.

In the Commerce stream, Yashasvani Chauhan from DR School, Gagret in Una, along with Krishika and Ayan from Kangra, jointly secured first place with 98.2 percent. Kajal and Muskan from Nagrota Bagwan Girls School, and Janhvi from Shivalik School, Solan, secured second place with 97.8 percent. Akshima Pathania, Muskan Thakur, and Ridhima secured third place with 97.6 percent.

Board Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma said students can apply for rechecking and re-evaluation within 15 days by paying the prescribed fee. The exams were conducted at over 2,300 centers across the state with strict monitoring to ensure fairness.
