Disha Patani continues to reinvent herself with every film

Disha Patani has consistently explored different roles and genres throughout her career, with each project marking a new phase in her journey. She began her film career with the 2015 Telugu film Loafer alongside Varun Tej, but the 2016 Bollywood hit MS Dhoni: The Untold Story brought her into the national spotlight.

As Priyanka, Patani portrayed the vulnerability and innocence of love, leaving a lasting impression on audiences. She later made her Chinese cinema debut with Kung Fu Yoga in 2017, sharing screen space with Jackie Chan and expanding her repertoire.

With films such as Baaghi 2, Bharat, Malang, Radhe and Ek Villain Returns, Patani continued to experiment with different genres, including romance, action, thrillers and complex characters.

In 2024, she delivered three releases and further showcased her versatility. She performed action sequences in Yodha, portrayed a fierce bounty hunter and mercenary in the sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD, and made her Tamil cinema debut with Kanguva. These projects strengthened her position as a pan-India performer.

The actress is continuing her momentum in 2026 with three releases. After O’ Romeo, she entered the comedy genre with Welcome To The Jungle, bringing glamour and comic timing to the popular franchise.

Now, Patani is part of Awarapan 2, the much-awaited sequel to the cult classic. The trailer presents her in an emotionally restrained role, creating curiosity about her character and its journey.

With the film set to release in theatres on August 14, audiences are looking forward to another transformation from Patani. Her career now reflects a deliberate effort to move beyond predictable choices and make evolution itself a defining part of her journey.
