New Delhi, May 16
Rekha Gupta on Saturday said the Delhi government has prepared a city logistics plan aimed at promoting industrial investment and strengthening the national capital’s logistics infrastructure.
The chief minister said the plan would soon be notified and would form part of the Warehousing and Logistics Policy 2025, which is currently being finalized by the Delhi government. Gupta also said Delhi has secured a place in the highest “Exemplary” category in the Logistics Ease Across Different States 2025 Index.
Under the LEADS 2025 Index, states and union territories are divided into four categories, including Exemplary, High Performer, Accelerators, and Growth Seekers, with Exemplary being the highest ranking category. She said the achievement reflected the Delhi government’s continuous efforts to improve logistics infrastructure, strengthen multimodal connectivity, simplify business procedures, and promote technology-based governance.
According to Gupta, the Delhi Single Window System has simplified and accelerated approvals and permissions related to logistics and industrial investments. An official statement said large-scale improvements have also been carried out on major and internal roads across Delhi under the Public Works Department’s pothole-free roads campaign.
The chief minister further said that the Unified Logistics Interface Platform has enabled API-based real-time monitoring and data exchange, leading to better coordination among logistics stakeholders. She added that Delhi’s performance in digital governance and technology-based systems remained ahead of the national and union territory averages.
Officials said the proposed logistics plan is expected to improve logistics efficiency and encourage greater industrial investment in the national capital.
