The members of the Joint Committee on the Constitution Bill 2024 and the Union Territories Laws Bill 2024 paid a visit to Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan. The meeting, described as a courtesy call, saw the Governor engaging in informal discussions with the delegation. Governor Shukla honoured the guests with traditional Himachali caps and shawls – symbols of local culture and respect.
The delegation was led by P.P. Chaudhary, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Committee. Also present was senior BJP leader and Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur, who is one of the committee’s members. Later in the evening, the Raj Bhavan hosted a formal dinner in honour of the visiting members, further cementing the spirit of collaboration between constitutional institutions and regional leadership.
