Dharamshala, July 24
NSUI members and Congress workers staged a protest in Dharamshala on Friday against the alleged lathi-charge on students demonstrating at Jantar Mantar over the NEET paper leak issue. The protesters demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, holding him morally responsible for the examination controversy.

Congress leader Devender Jaggi, who joined the protest, alleged that force was used against peacefully protesting students and demanded the withdrawal of FIRs registered against them. He said the Union Education Minister should resign, taking moral responsibility for the paper leak, and urged the Centre to address the students’ demands seriously.

Student protester Alisha said the issue concerns the future of students rather than any political party. She called for strict legislation to ensure transparency in competitive examinations and prevent paper leaks.

Another student, Pariksha, said the NEET paper leak had affected the future of lakhs of hardworking aspirants. She urged the government to take stringent action against those responsible to prevent such incidents from recurring.
