Panchkula, June 9
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday attended the State-Level Empowered Panchayat Ceremony in Panchkula, where financial assistance under several welfare schemes was directly transferred to beneficiaries across the state.
Several senior leaders and dignitaries were present at the event, including Cabinet Ministers Krishna Pawar, Krishna Bedi, Rao Narbir Singh, Mahipal Dhanda, and Shruti Choudhry. Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma and former Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta also attended the programme.
Representatives from various panchayats across Haryana, including panches, sarpanches, and other delegates, participated in the ceremony.
During the programme, the Chief Minister transferred ₹207.75 crore to 9.89 lakh beneficiaries under the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana.
Under various social security schemes, ₹1,151.51 crore was distributed among 35.76 lakh beneficiaries across the state.
The government also disbursed scholarships worth ₹23.17 crore to 25,729 students belonging to OBC and DNT communities.
Additionally, ₹19.75 crore was distributed to 5.37 lakh beneficiaries under the Har Ghar Har Grahini Yojana for April 2026.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated 350 Atal E-Libraries in panchayats across Haryana as part of efforts to strengthen rural educational infrastructure and digital access.
The event focused on strengthening grassroots governance and ensuring direct delivery of welfare benefits to citizens through village panchayats.
