Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan has accepted an invitation from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry to inaugurate CHEFEX INDIA 2026 as the chief guest. The event is scheduled for September 2026 in Chandigarh and is expected to bring together stakeholders from the food processing, hospitality, and entrepreneurship sectors.
The invitation was extended by Himani Arora, Chairperson of PHDCCI’s Regional Fashion TexTech Forum, during a meeting with the Union Minister in New Delhi. PHDCCI Deputy Secretary General Naveen Seth was also present during the meeting. During the interaction, Arora described CHEFEX INDIA 2026 as an important platform for promoting India’s food processing, hospitality, innovation and entrepreneurship sectors. She highlighted the need for stronger collaboration between industry and the government and sought the ministry’s support in successfully organizing the event.
Naveen Seth briefed the Union Minister on PHDCCI’s initiatives to promote industrial growth and said that the upcoming edition of CHEFEX INDIA is expected to attract participation from businesses and industry representatives across the country.
Paswan accepted the invitation to attend the inaugural ceremony as chief guest and assured the organizers that their request for financial assistance for the event would be considered positively.
PHDCCI expressed gratitude to the Union Minister for his support and encouragement, stating that his participation would further strengthen CHEFEX INDIA 2026 as a significant national platform for India’s food processing and hospitality sectors. The organization said it expects the event to encourage greater industry participation and strengthen cooperation between stakeholders and policymakers.
