BJP holds tricolor march in Dharamshala over FIR against MLA Sudhir Sharma

BJP workers on Monday held a protest in Dharamshala against the cases registered against party leader and Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma, taking out a Tricolor march from the Post Office to the Deputy Commissioner’s office. The protesters raised slogans against the state government and later submitted a memorandum to the Governor through the Deputy Commissioner, demanding the withdrawal of the FIR and other cases registered against Sharma.

BJP worker Shakun Mankotia alleged that false and baseless cases were being registered against Sharma. He said party workers were united in opposing the action and warned that if it was not stopped, they would intensify their protest and resort to a hunger strike.

BJP Rural Mandal working general secretary Shubham Sood also warned that the agitation would be expanded across Himachal Pradesh if the FIR against Sharma was not withdrawn.
He said the party would organize road blockades and stage protests by displaying black flags during the winter session of the state Assembly.
Sood alleged that opposition leaders raising their voices against the government’s functioning and alleged irregularities were being targeted. He said BJP workers would continue their agitation against the action taken against Sharma.
