Amit Trivedi says ‘Chal Na Reel Banate Hain’ was inspired by today’s reel culture

Ahead of the premiere of Star Plus’ upcoming show Yeh Fitoor Tera on August 5, the makers have released Feel Banate Hain, a lively new track composed by National Award-winning musician Amit Trivedi. Featuring the catchy hook line, “Chal Na Reel Banate Hain, Feel Banate Hain,” the song reflects the social media-driven lifestyle of Gen Z and complements the youthful theme of the show.

Sharing the inspiration behind the song, Trivedi said the team wanted to create a fun and relatable track that today’s generation could instantly connect with. He explained that the song is picturized from the perspective of a girl expressing her feelings for someone she likes, making the phrase “Chal Na Reel Banate Hain” a natural fit in the current era of short-form video content.

“Nowadays, everyone is making reels, so it felt very relatable,” Trivedi said, crediting lyricist Geet Sagar for capturing the mood of the song and the emotions of the female protagonist.

The composer said he thoroughly enjoyed working on the light-hearted track, adding that it had been a long time since he had the opportunity to create such a fun and carefree composition.

Yeh Fitoor Tera is set to premiere on Star Plus on August 5 at 8:30 pm. The makers say the song celebrates young love, new connections, and the vibrant spirit of Gen Z, setting the tone for the upcoming show.
