Dharamshala, May 2
A spell of heavy rain on Saturday afternoon brought much-needed relief to residents of Dharamshala, where soaring temperatures over the past few days had disrupted daily life and caused discomfort.
The weather changed suddenly around 3:30 pm, when dark clouds gathered, followed by steady rainfall across the region. The showers led to a noticeable drop in temperature, easing the impact of the recent heatwave-like conditions.
Residents, who had been dealing with rising temperatures, welcomed the change in weather. Many were seen stepping out to enjoy the cooler conditions as the rain continued, bringing a sense of relief across the town.
According to the India Meteorological Department, similar weather patterns are likely to continue in the coming days. Officials have indicated that further rainfall could lead to a gradual decrease in temperatures in the region.
The rainfall has provided a temporary respite from the heat, and with more showers expected, residents can look forward to more comfortable weather conditions in the days ahead.
