Mumbai, June 18
As Zee TV gears up for the launch of its new fiction drama Tu Hi Re Dil Mein, actor Abrar Qazi has shared his thoughts on portraying Sanjay, describing the character as one of the most layered and enriching roles of his career.
The show, which premiered on June 15, stars Abrar Qazi, Priyanshi Yadav and Simran Rawal in lead roles. Blending themes of love, destiny, relationships, and difficult life choices, the story follows the emotional journeys of Vrinda, Sanjay, and Swati as their lives become deeply connected.
Speaking about the project, Abrar said the storytelling and emotional depth of the narrative immediately attracted him to the show. He noted that while the central premise may seem familiar, the way the story unfolds through unexpected twists and emotional conflicts sets it apart.
Talking about his character, Abrar described Sanjay as a compassionate, grounded, and responsible individual who consistently places the needs of others before his own. He said the character values family, respects women, and believes in fulfilling his responsibilities, even when it means making personal sacrifices.
According to the actor, Sanjay’s journey becomes particularly compelling as he is torn between love and duty, leading him to make difficult decisions that reveal different facets of his personality. Abrar added that portraying these emotional layers has been both challenging and rewarding.
He said that roles with multiple dimensions offer actors valuable opportunities to learn and grow, adding that Sanjay is unlike the characters he has portrayed previously.
Abrar also expressed his excitement about the show reaching audiences and said the entire team has worked passionately to bring the story to life. He hopes viewers connect with the emotional themes and relationships explored in the series.
