Sector 48 event to feature modern technology, designer costumes, enhanced security
Chandigarh, September 29
The Shri Ram Sevak Yuva Kala Manch will stage Ramleela at the Dussehra Ground in Sector 48 from October 10, with organisers preparing advanced lighting and sound systems, designer costumes, and security arrangements to connect youngsters with Indian culture and traditions.
Manch president Vipanjit Singh Aman said the initiative aimed to encourage Gen-Z youth to spend time away from Instagram reels and experience Ramleela through live performances. He said watching episodes from Lord Ram’s life would help youngsters understand Indian culture, traditions, and the ideals associated with him.
Aman said artistes’ rehearsals were underway, along with preparations for the technical aspects of the performance. Lighting, sound, stage decoration, costumes and security arrangements were being checked at different levels ahead of the event.
He said the organisers wanted to raise awareness among youngsters about cultural values and encourage them to include the ideals associated with Lord Ram into their lives.
The organisers were paid special attention to full-dress rehearsals and technical arrangements to ensure the performance ran smoothly.
