Club owner alleges staff assault, misbehaviour and video recording of women during September 27 incident

A Crime Branch Inspector was suspended after a club owner alleged that he misbehaved with staff, assaulted a chef and recorded videos of women at a Sector 5 club on September 27.

The incident took place at the ABA Club, where the owner alleged that the inspector created a ruckus after entering the premises and calling other police personnel.

According to club owner Jashn Bajwa, Inspector Ajit entered the club alone and allegedly misbehaved with bouncers and staff in the name of checking. When they stopped him, he allegedly called his colleagues to the spot.

Bajwa alleged that the Inspector later assaulted the club chef and recorded the videos of women near the dance floor. When staff tried to stop him, the situation escalated and the ruckus continued for around two hours.

A video related to the incident also surfaced, showing a police vehicle outside the club and four to five men in civilian clothes. One of them was seen carrying a gun. The club owner claimed they were Crime Branch personnel.

The club management subsequently informed the Sector 5 police about the incident. Following the complaint, Inspector Ajit was suspended. Police officials said they were investigating the matter.
