Drone, laser shows planned as key attractions
Kullu, September 24
The International Dussehra Festival is scheduled to begin at Dhalpur Maidan in Kullu on October 21, with a global cultural programme, drone show and laser show planned as major attractions, according to discussions at a Dussehra Festival Committee meeting held at Atal Sadan.
The meeting was chaired by Kullu MLA Sunder Singh Thakur, who also headed the International Dussehra Festival Committee. Banjar MLA Surendra Shourie, Ani MLA Lokendra Singh and other officials were also present in the meeting.
Thakur said artists from foreign countries will participate in the festival. A special global cultural programme will be organised at Dhalpur, where artists from different countries will come together to present their respective cultures on a common platform.
He said the drone and laser shows will also be among the festival’s major attractions.
Thakur said the weather has remained favourable and the administration has been directed to complete the preparations for the festival. Auditions for artists scheduled to perform cultural programmes will be conducted, while plot allocation and other arrangements will also be completed.
The administration and Kullu Municipal Council will also focus on cleanliness as part of the festival preparations.
