Kullu, August 14
BJP workers took out a Tiranga Yatra in Dhalpur, the district headquarters of Kullu, ahead of Independence Day, with the area reverberating with patriotic slogans.
A large number of BJP office-bearers and workers participated in the rally, carrying the Tricolor and spreading the message of patriotism and nationalism. The participants urged people to respect the national flag and remember the sacrifices made by freedom fighters for the country’s independence.
BJP leader Narottam Thakur, who participated in the yatra, said the party organizes the Tiranga Yatra every year ahead of Independence Day to strengthen the spirit of patriotism, particularly among the youth.
He said the Tricolor symbolizes the country’s pride and honor, while the yatra also seeks to create awareness among young people about India’s unity and integrity.
Thakur said millions of people had sacrificed their lives during the freedom struggle and the yatra was an effort to remember and pay tribute to the martyrs.
He said BJP workers organize Tiranga Yatras across the country every year and encourage people to hoist the national flag at their homes as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
