Patiala, July 31

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini visited Sanaur in Patiala to attend a programme dedicated to the martyrdom of Shaheed Udham Singh, where he paid floral tributes to the freedom fighter.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the event, Saini launched a fresh attack on the Punjab Government over the paper leak controversy. He alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had failed to provide answers regarding the issue and claimed that the party’s “double standards” had now been exposed.

“The Aam Aadmi Party has no answer in the paper leak case in Punjab. Its double standards have become evident before the people,” Saini said.

Responding to a question about the possibility of forming an alliance with another political party in Punjab, the Haryana Chief Minister said his party remained open to joining hands with any political outfit committed to taking Punjab forward on the path of development.

“Whichever party is dedicated to taking Punjab on the path of development, we are always ready to form an alliance with it,” he said.

However, when asked specifically whether such an alliance could include the Waris Punjab De organisation, Saini declined to respond.
