A scuffle between a woman and a hospital employee over the issuance of an OPD slip at Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College and Hospital, Tanda, has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread attention.
According to hospital authorities, the incident occurred at the OPD registration counter when an argument broke out over the issuance of a patient slip. Principal Dr Milap said the woman, who had come to the hospital for treatment, was reportedly suffering from a mental health condition. The dispute escalated during the registration process, leading to the altercation.
Hospital employee Saurabh said the woman repeatedly insisted on getting her OPD slip made at a particular counter despite being asked to visit another one. He alleged that she became aggressive, used abusive language and shouted at him, as seen in the viral video, before allegedly assaulting him. The confrontation later turned into a physical scuffle.
The hospital administration said it has taken note of the incident and is looking into the matter. The viral video has sparked discussion among the public on social media.
