16 Injured after bus overturns near Nurpur

At least 16 passengers were injured after a private Volvo bus traveling from Jammu to Dehradun overturned on the Jammu, Jalandhar National Highway at Damtal near Nurpur in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. Police said the bus was carrying 57 passengers when the accident occurred.
According to police, the bus reportedly went out of control before overturning onto a service lane. Police personnel reached the spot soon after receiving information and launched a rescue operation. The injured passengers were shifted to the Civil Hospital in Indora for treatment.
Police have registered a case and started an investigation into the incident. Officials said the exact cause of the accident is yet to be established. Mechanical failure, overspeeding, and other possible factors are being examined as part of the investigation.
The investigation is underway, and authorities are expected to determine the cause of the accident once the inquiry is complete.
