Chandigarh, July 13

More than 30 lakh electors across Punjab submitted their enumeration forms during two-day special camps organized under the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, Chief Electoral Officer Anindita Mitra said on Sunday. The statewide exercise forms part of the ongoing revision process to update the electoral rolls ahead of the publication of the draft list.
The special camps were conducted at all polling booths across Punjab on July 11 and 12 between 8 am and 3 pm. During the camps, voters submitted their completed enumeration forms to their respective Booth Level Officers. Mitra said that more than 1.30 crore electors have submitted their enumeration forms over the past 18 days, reflecting steady participation in the revision exercise.
She said the door-to-door collection of enumeration forms is ongoing and will continue until July 24.
Appealing to voters who are yet to complete the process, the Chief Electoral Officer urged them to contact their respective Booth Level Officers without delay and submit their forms within the stipulated timeline. Mitra said timely submission of enumeration forms is essential to ensure that the names of all eligible electors are included in the draft electoral rolls, which are scheduled for publication on August 3.
