Renowned Punjabi singer, poet and composer Satinder Sartaaj has added a customized Yezdi Roadster to his collection, further strengthening his long-standing association with the iconic motorcycle brand.
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles announced that Sartaaj, known for his deep connection with the brand, has made the new Yezdi Roadster his own. The association gained widespread attention in 2023 when the celebrated artist released his popular song Yezdi, featuring his vintage pastel-green D250 Classic motorcycle.
According to the company, Sartaaj’s connection with Yezdi goes beyond music. Both the artist and the motorcycle brand share a commitment to preserving heritage while embracing modernity. While Yezdi has focused on reinventing classic motorcycles with contemporary engineering, Sartaaj has earned recognition for blending traditional Punjabi folk and Sufi music with modern influences without compromising their essence.
Commenting on the association, Anupam Thareja, Co-founder of Classic Legends, said Yezdi and Satinder Sartaaj share a common philosophy of combining timelessness with individuality. He said Sartaaj’s song celebrating Yezdi became a cultural moment that resonated with riders and music lovers alike.
Thareja added that Yezdi has enjoyed a special connection with Punjab’s riding culture for generations and that the customized Roadster serves as a tribute to Sartaaj’s artistic contributions and the brand’s enduring relationship with the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Sartaaj said his song Yezdi was born out of affection for a motorcycle that symbolized freedom, companionship, and style during his formative years. He noted that the song helped introduce the motorcycle’s legacy to a younger audience.
The singer said he was immediately drawn to the new Yezdi Roadster when it was launched and described his latest acquisition as a full-circle moment. He expressed happiness at being associated with a brand that continues to connect with new generations while preserving its legacy.
The development highlights the Yezdi brand’s continued cultural appeal and enduring popularity among motorcycle enthusiasts in Punjab and across the country.
