In a symbolic gesture highlighting workplace equality, PRTC Chairman Advocate Harpal Juneja inaugurated a newly constructed bus stop outside the corporation’s headquarters on Nabha Road by inviting a sevadar to perform the opening ceremony.

Built at a cost of Rs 9.50 lakh, the modern bus stop has been designed to enhance passenger comfort and convenience for commuters traveling to Nabha, Malerkotla, and other destinations. Equipped with granite and stainless-steel benches, digital signage, LED lighting, and fans, the facility aims to provide relief from harsh weather conditions.

Addressing the gathering, Juneja said the initiative reflected PRTC’s belief that every employee, regardless of designation, deserves equal respect and recognition. He added that the corporation would continue implementing public welfare and employee-centric projects under the guidance of the Punjab government.

The chairman also announced plans to construct additional bus stops across the city in collaboration with private companies and NGOs. He further revealed that an Indian Oil retail outlet and solar rooftop projects are being planned on PRTC premises to boost revenue and reduce operational costs.

Senior PRTC officials, including Vice Chairman Balwinder Singh Jhadwan, Managing Director Manisha Rana, and other officers, were present at the event.
