Patiala witnessed a shocking and disturbing incident after the body of an unidentified girl was recovered from inside a blue drum near a garbage dump in the Urban Estate area. The gruesome discovery created panic and outrage among local residents.
According to police officials, information was received by telephone about a suspicious blue drum lying near the DCW bridge area. A police team immediately rushed to the spot and found the body of a young girl inside the drum.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been established. Authorities have shifted the body to Rajindra Hospital’s mortuary for post-mortem examination and further investigation.
Police officials stated that two tattoos were found on the girl’s body, while several injury marks were also visible, raising suspicions of foul play. Investigators are currently examining all possible angles to identify the victim and trace those responsible for the crime.
The horrifying incident has sparked fear and concern across the city, with residents demanding swift action and justice in the case.
