Patiala, May 13
A celebratory atmosphere was witnessed at Playway Senior Secondary School after student Afreen Azeem secured second rank in Punjab in the Humanities stream in the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class 12 results, declared on Tuesday. Afreen scored an outstanding 499 marks out of 500. While three students secured a perfect score of 500/500 and jointly shared the first position in Punjab, Afreen was awarded the second rank in the state and stood fourth in the overall merit list. She also emerged as the top scorer in the Patiala district.
The achievement sparked celebrations at the school campus, where students and staff congratulated Afreen for her remarkable performance. School Chairman Dr. Rajdeep said it was a proud moment for the institution, as one of its students secured second place in Punjab. He added that 36 students from the school made it to the merit list this year.
He further stated that the students who secured first and second place in the Patiala district both belong to the school.
Also present at the celebrations was Sameerin Kaushik, who secured second place in Patiala district.
