The Kangra district police have stepped up their campaign against drug trafficking, seizing 4.04 kilograms of charas and arresting four individuals linked to an interstate supply network, officials said.

Superintendent of Police Ashok Ratna stated that the department has adopted a zero-tolerance approach to narcotics and is conducting continuous raids across the district. “We are working with full vigilance and commitment to eliminate the drug menace. Those involved will not be spared,” he said.

The operation began in the Pachrukhi area, where police intercepted two suspects and recovered 4 kilograms and 40 grams of charas from their possession. During subsequent interrogation, investigators discovered that the consignment was intended for distribution in Palampur tehsil.

Acting on leads gathered during the probe, police later arrested two more individuals from the Palampur area who were allegedly part of the same network. Preliminary findings suggest their active involvement in the illegal drug trade.

Police officials confirmed that further investigation is underway to trace the wider network and identify additional links. Authorities reiterated that the anti-drug drive will continue with increased intensity, warning that strict action will be taken against anyone found involved in narcotics trafficking.
