A private school in Patiala received a bomb threat email, prompting an immediate police response and evacuation of students, a day after a blast was reported near Shambhu. According to officials, the threat email was received by Shivalik Public School, triggering panic among school authorities. Police teams rushed to the premises and conducted a thorough search to ensure there was no danger.
As a precautionary measure, the school administration declared an immediate holiday and ensured that all students were safely sent home.
The development comes a day after a blast incident near Shambhu, which also drew the attention of Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, who visited the site to assess the situation.
Station House Officer Randeep Sharma of Lahori Gate police station said the situation was under control and necessary checks were carried out across the school premises.
Police said the source of the threat email is being investigated and assured that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure public safety.
