Union Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries, Ravneet Singh Bittu, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence on Friday, expressing admiration for the PM’s leadership and discussing development plans for Punjab. Bittu, a recent appointee to the Modi cabinet, shared news of the meeting on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where he wrote: “Honoured to meet Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji at his residence. Shared my joy over India’s recent victory over Pakistan and commended his exemplary leadership in handling tough situations with grace and determination.”
According to Bittu, the meeting covered “key initiatives for Punjab’s development,” with an emphasis on fostering growth and prosperity in the northern state. The conversation also touched on Punjab’s “current religious and political landscape,” with the Prime Minister offering his perspectives on “the path ahead.”
As a symbolic gesture, Bittu presented two books to the Prime Minister: Guru Nanak’s Blessed Trail and The Golden Temple, both tributes to Sikhism’s spiritual heritage. “These books represent the essence of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings and the profound cultural history of Punjab,” he noted.
