Punjab Police have arrested four individuals allegedly linked to Pakistani smugglers in a crackdown on illegal arms and hawala networks, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said on Saturday. The suspects, identified as Jagroop Singh, Hardeep Singh, Rajbir Singh (alias Gullu), and Arsal Singh (alias Rasal Singh), were reportedly involved in facilitating illicit financial transactions and smuggling weapons, Yadav said.
The Police also seized four Glock 9mm pistols, five magazines, and ₹3.05 lakh in suspected hawala money, he added. A case has been registered at Gharinda police station, and authorities are investigating the broader network behind the operation. Punjab Police reiterated its commitment to dismantling organized crime and ensuring public safety.
