Sidelined Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha on Friday posted an Instagram video titled “Voice Raised Price Paid” that compiles clips of him raising issues in Parliament as his differences with the party continue. In the accompanying post, Chadha said, “With due respect to those who are questioning my parliamentary performance, I will let my work do the talking. ”The video was shared days after the Aam Aadmi Party removed Chadha from the post of deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha on April 2. The party has accused him of shying away from strongly criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central government in Parliament. Instead, the AAP claimed Chadha was engaging in what it called “soft PR”.Chadha has sharply dismissed the allegations, calling them “lies”.
He said he went to Parliament to raise people’s issues, not to create a ruckus. Since his removal as deputy leader in the Upper House, Chadha has been actively using social media to counter the party’s stand. Through multiple videos and posts, he has made it clear that he will not accept the demotion quietly.
The public exchange of statements and social media posts highlights the growing rift within the Aam Aadmi Party and raises questions about Chadha’s future role in the party. Further developments are awaited on whether the differences will be resolved internally or lead to more open confrontation.
