Two terror operatives have been arrested in Punjab following a brief gunfight with police on Thursday. After receiving a tip-off, police arrested Robinjeet Singh and Harpreet Singh (also known as Happy). DGP Gaurav Yadav revealed that both individuals are believed to have links to international terror groups, such as Gurdev Singh (alias Jaisal Chambhal) from the USA, Lakhbir Singh (alias Landa) from Canada, and Satnam Singh’s Naushehra Gang.
The police were attempting to detain the suspects when they reportedly attacked officers and attempted to flee. In response, the police opened fire in self-defense. Both suspects were injured in the incident and have since been taken to Civil Hospital, where their condition is said to be stable, the DGP said.
An FIR has been filed by the Tarn Taran Police, and investigations are ongoing to uncover further connections, including possible links to global terror networks. The Police are working to determine the full scope of their operations.
