Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Saturday hailed India’s tribal community as the “pride of the country,” urging respect for tribal culture at both national and international levels. Speaking at the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram in Udaipur on the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Dhankhar expressed admiration for tribal lifestyles, music, and talent while highlighting concerns over efforts to undermine cultural integrity.

“Conspiratorial attempts to lure and change the beliefs of tribal communities are malicious and must be controlled,” Dhankhar warned, adding, “Our cultural heritage is our foundation. If it shakes, no building is safe,” he said.

Praising Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s contributions, Dhankhar underscored his teachings of sustainable living, symbolized by “Jal, Jungle, Zameen” (Water, Forest, Land). He also lauded President Droupadi Murmu’s role as a beacon of tribal pride and India’s democratic inclusivity.
