Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm reception from the Indian diaspora upon his arrival in London on Thursday, ahead of key meetings with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and King Charles III. This marks Modi’s fourth official visit to the United Kingdom since taking office in 2014, with previous visits in 2015, 2018, and 2021. In a post on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, the Prime Minister’s Office said: “PM @narendramodi arrived in London, where he will meet PM @Keir_Starmer. Upon his arrival, the Indian community warmly welcomed the PM.”
Prime Minister, in a post on X, also said the visit would significantly strengthen the economic partnership between India and the UK. “The focus will be on advancing prosperity, driving growth, and creating jobs for our people,” he wrote, adding that “a strong India-UK friendship is vital for global progress.”
