Piyush Goyal to visit Israel for talks on trade and technology

New Delhi, November 19

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will travel to Israel from November 20 to 22 for meetings aimed at expanding trade, investment and technology partnerships between the two countries. He is visiting at the invitation of Israel’s Minister of Economy and Industry, Nir Barkat. Goyal will be accompanied by a 60-member business delegation drawn from major industry bodies including CII, FICCI, Assocham and Start-up India. The visit highlights the growing strategic and economic ties between New Delhi and Tel Aviv.

During the trip, the minister will hold talks with senior Israeli leaders, including Barkat and other cabinet members. Discussions are expected to cover cooperation in agriculture, water management, defence, emerging technologies, life sciences, infrastructure and advanced manufacturing. Both sides are also likely to review progress on the proposed India–Israel free trade agreement.

Goyal will address the India–Israel Business Forum, which brings together leading industry representatives from both countries for plenary sessions, technical discussions and structured B2B meetings. The fourth edition of the CEOs Forum will also take place, with senior corporate leaders expected to explore new areas for joint ventures and investment.
