Ludhiana, June 24
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday described the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) victory in the Ludhiana West Assembly bypoll as a resounding endorsement of the party’s development agenda, calling it “a mandate for revolution and progress.”
Addressing a celebratory roadshow in Ludhiana alongside senior party leader Manish Sisodia and AAP workers, Mann thanked voters for their overwhelming support. He said the win, secured by AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora, would double the pace of development in the region.
“The revolutionary people of Ludhiana West have once again placed their trust in AAP,” Mann said. “This result proves that in Punjab, ours is the only party the people trust.”
The Chief Minister praised party volunteers for their door-to-door campaign efforts and credited the victory to their work in raising awareness of AAP’s pro-people policies. He said the result was not just a local win but part of a broader shift in Indian politics.
“Our movement, led by Arvind Kejriwal, will continue to grow. With victories in Ludhiana and Gujarat, AAP is emerging as a national force capable of reshaping the country’s political landscape,” Mann added.
Supporters and party workers turned out in large numbers for the roadshow, waving flags and raising slogans as the AAP leadership thanked the electorate.
