Shimla, December 9
Himachal BJP President Dr Rajeev Bindal on Tuesday said that BJP national president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda will arrive in Shimla on the night of December 12 in his first visit to the state after the NDA’s landslide victory in Bihar. Dr Bindal said the Bihar result had generated “tremendous enthusiasm” among party workers in Himachal Pradesh, adding that Nadda’s visit had become “a matter of pride” for supporters across the state.

A public felicitation event will be held at Peterhoff Ground in Shimla on the morning of December 13, where thousands of BJP workers and residents are expected to welcome Nadda, he said. According to Dr Bindal, Nadda will also lay the foundation stone of the BJP’s proposed state-level party office the same day. He said the office would function as a major organisational centre for the party in the coming years.

The Himachal BJP chief said workers from across the state were “extremely enthusiastic” about the visit, which he believes will energise the party ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections. Dr Bindal appealed to the public to attend the December 13 ceremony in large numbers and “be part of the historic occasion”.
