Security has been tightened across Himachal Pradesh following the deadly blasts near Delhi’s Red Fort that left nine people dead and 24 injured. Himachal Police have issued a high alert across the state, particularly in border districts adjoining Punjab, Haryana, and Jammu. Among the injured is a 45-year-old man from Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur district, identified as Tilak Raj, son of Krishan Chand. Family members confirmed he is currently undergoing treatment at a Delhi hospital, where his condition remains stable but critical, according to reports.

Director General of Police has instructed all district police chiefs to remain vigilant and intensify checking at key entry and exit points. “All vehicles entering from neighbouring states are being closely monitored, and movement of suspicious individuals is under strict surveillance,” a senior police officer said.

Patrolling and security checks have been increased along inter-state borders, with additional forces deployed in sensitive areas. The Himachal Police have also issued a public advisory urging residents to stay alert, avoid spreading rumours, and report any suspicious activity immediately by calling the emergency helpline 112. The officials said coordination with central agencies and neighbouring state police has been stepped up to ensure no spillover of the security threat from Delhi into Himachal.
