Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has cemented his place on the global stage by securing the top spot on the UK’s “Top 50 Asian Celebrities in the World” list. The feat sees him surpassing Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan and Allu Arjun.
Taking to Instagram to celebrate, Dosanjh shared a series of stories featuring his chart-topping tracks “Born to Shine” and “Don.” In one story, he paired the song “Don” with a post announcing his achievement. Clips from his Dil-Illuminati tour, showcasing electrifying performances and heartfelt fan reactions, added a deeply personal touch to his joy.
According to The Hindustan Times, Dosanjh’s rise to the top is attributed to his chart-topping music, film roles, international collaborations, and the runaway success of his Dil-Illuminati tour. His recent performance in the critically acclaimed film Amar Singh Chamkila further cemented his influence.
The UK celebrity list includes an array of talented stars include British singer Charli XCX ranks second, followed by Allu Arjun in third. Other names include Dev Patel (4th), Priyanka Chopra (5th), Vijay (6th), and Arijit Singh (7th). Bollywood heavyweights such as Prabhas (14th), Rajkummar Rao (15th), and Kartik Aaryan (25th) also feature, while Shah Rukh Khan, in an unexpected twist, finds himself in 32nd place.
