Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini on Tuesday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, saying the past 11 years had marked a period of “national revival” and “restoration of India’s global stature.” Addressing a press conference, Chief Minister Saini said the Modi-led government had transformed India from a nation once marred by “corruption, nepotism and policy paralysis” into one that is now “confident, globally respected and development-driven”. “Eleven years ago, the country was gripped by hopelessness,” he said. “Today, India stands strong on the world stage — this is not just a time marker, but a moment of resurgence.”

Chief Minister Saini said that India had made significant strides across multiple sectors, crediting Modi for the country’s rapid economic growth, advancements in defence manufacturing, space exploration, infrastructure, and social welfare schemes. The Chief Minister  highlighted that India’s economy had risen from 11th to 5th place globally since 2014, and that defence exports had grown from ₹1,500 crore to over ₹23,000 crore in the same period. He also referenced India’s lunar landing at the Moon’s south pole, describing it as a symbol of national capability.

“The country’s digital transformation, from cashless payments in rural areas to world-leading startups, shows we are moving in the right direction,” he said.

The Chief Minister said over 81 crore people now receive free rations and more than 4 crore homes had been constructed under PM Awas Yojana. He also praised schemes like Ayushman Bharat, which provides health insurance coverage of up to ₹5 lakh to eligible families.

Other schemes mentioned included Ujjwala Yojana (free LPG connections), Digital India, and Startup India. “These policies are changing lives, especially for the poor, women and youth,” he said. He laso highlighted Modi government’s decisions such as the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, and the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act. “These were long-pending issues. The government has taken bold decisions where others hesitated,” he said.

He also cited environmental initiatives and infrastructure projects like the Chenab railway bridge and solar power expansion as signs of development under Modi’s leadership. He accused the Congress party of misrule, saying it had failed to deliver results during its decades in power. “In 55 years, they could not do what the Modi government has done in 11,” he said.

The Chief Minister said India was moving closer to becoming a developed country, with inclusive growth as the government’s top priority.
