Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, son of late six-time Chief Minister Raja Virbhadra Singh, has married Dr Amreen Kaur, an assistant professor at Panjab University.
The couple tied the knot in a simple Sikh ceremony at a Gurdwara in Chandigarh’s Sector 11 on Monday, attended by close relatives and friends. Among those present were Vikramaditya Singh’s mother and Congress MP Pratibha Singh, along with his sister, brother-in-law and maternal family members. Pre-wedding rituals, including the mehendi ceremony, were held on Sunday evening, followed by the lavan phere the next day. Later in the evening, the bride was welcomed at Holylodge, Vikramaditya’s family residence in Shimla, decorated for the occasion. A reception will be held on September 24 at Hotel Marina in Shimla, with ministers, political leaders, officials and other guests expected to attend. This is Vikramaditya’s second marriage. He previously married Sudarshana Singh of Rajasthan’s Mewar royal family in 2019, but the couple separated in 2022.
