US President Donald Trump on Monday warned that Washington could swiftly impose higher tariffs on India, citing New Delhi’s continued trade with Russia, including oil purchases. Speaking to reporters, Trump said India’s trade decisions had drawn his attention and suggested tariff action could follow. “PM Modi is a very good man. He’s a good guy,” he said, referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “He knew I was not happy. It was important to make me happy.”
