The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading Congress in the Haryana assembly elections, according to early data from the Election Commission of India. The BJP is ahead in 49 seats, while Congress is leading in 35. Additionally, the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) is leading in 1 seat, with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and independents ahead in 1 and 4 seats, respectively. In Jammu and Kashmir, the National Conference-Congress alliance has surpassed the majority mark with 52 seats, leaving the BJP trailing with 25 seats, early results show.
